SIS officially kicks off the Purchasing and Supplier Management module project for Nitori

SIS Vietnam has officially kicked off a project to build a Purchasing and Supplier Management module for Nitori Furniture Vietnam EPE, aiming to digitize procurement and optimize operations for this FDI manufacturing enterprise.

1. Officially launching the Purchasing and Supplier Management module project for Nitori

On May 25, 2026, SIS Vietnam successfully held the Kick-off meeting for the PMS – Purchasing Management System project for Nitori Furniture Vietnam EPE. This project belongs to the ERP Procurement group, aiming to digitize the purchasing process, supplier management, and operational optimization for this Japanese FDI manufacturing enterprise.

PMS is a module within the SIS ERP SME ecosystem, developed to serve in-depth procurement management operations such as:

• Purchasing management
• Supplier management
• Approval workflow
• Purchase Order (PO) management
• Inventory planning
• Synchronizing operational data across departments

More than just a simple purchasing management application, the system is designed as an ERP platform that helps the enterprise improve management effectiveness, optimize the supply chain, and reduce dependence on manual processes.

Through this project, SIS Vietnam continues to accompany Nitori on its digital transformation journey, with the following goals:

• Standardizing operational data
• Automating the procurement process
• Improving material and supplier management capabilities
• Connecting data across warehouse, production, accounting, and logistics
• Supporting reporting and data analysis for business operations

2. Why did Nitori implement a purchasing and supplier management system?

As an FDI manufacturing enterprise with complex operations and a supply chain, Nitori Furniture Vietnam EPE has high requirements for purchasing management, material control, and data coordination across multiple departments such as warehouse, production, accounting, and logistics. This calls for a procurement ERP system capable of synchronizing data and automating operational processes in place of traditional manual handling.

According to the survey and discussions during the Kick-off meeting, material data across departments still uses various different codes, such as warehouse codes, production-accounting codes, and purchasing codes. Standardizing material and BOM data is therefore seen as one of the key foundations for automating calculations and optimizing operations.

In addition, the company also needs to improve its ability to manage materials according to the actual production plan, including:

• Calculating order quantities
• Tracking inventory by day/week
• Managing BOM norms
• Controlling materials by production shift and time slot
• Automatically calculating purchasing needs based on the Production Plan and BOM Quantity

Beyond purchasing management, the system also helps the enterprise strengthen supplier management by standardizing the Purchase Order (PO) process, tracking delivery progress, and synchronizing procurement data across related departments. This is also an important step in helping Nitori optimize its supply chain, reduce operational errors, and improve management effectiveness throughout its digital transformation journey.

3. Highlights of the project Kick-off meeting

At the PMS project Kick-off meeting, SIS Vietnam and Nitori Furniture Vietnam EPE agreed on the objectives, implementation scope, project timeline, and team structure in line with the planned roadmap. Both sides also discussed coordination methods, reporting processes, and working principles to ensure progress and consistency throughout the project.

The meeting was attended by project management teams, technical staff, and business-process representatives from both sides. Key topics discussed at the Kick-off meeting included:

• Standardizing material data and Item Codes across departments
• Managing BOM norms and production plans
• Connecting inventory data to support material calculations
• Automatically calculating order quantities and delivery times
• Managing materials by day, production shift, and time slot
• Setting up an automated Purchase Order (PO) creation process on the ERP system

Both sides also agreed on a project management approach with weekly review meetings, and centralized document management via Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, and the SIS CoreFlow system, to ensure progress tracking, task management, and long-term coordination throughout the system implementation.

4. SIS Vietnam continues to affirm its ERP implementation capability for FDI enterprises

The PMS project is the latest step in the ongoing partnership between SIS Vietnam and Nitori Furniture Vietnam EPE, following previously implemented systems such as warehouse management software and SIS ERP SME. Expanding further into the procurement management module reflects the trust this Japanese FDI enterprise places in SIS Vietnam's implementation capability and long-term partnership in digital transformation projects.
