As of today, 09/06/2014, Huy Hoang Farm is raising 30 pigs. Of which:

  • Age 01-30 days: 20 pigs
  • Age 31-60 days: 10 pigs

Given the feed-consumption norm by age group:

  • Age group 01: Age 01-30 days, consumes 0.5 Kg of type-A feed/day
  • Age group 02: Age 31-60 days, consumes 1.5 Kg of type-B feed/day
  • Age group 03: Age 61-90 days, consumes 1.2 Kg of type-C feed/day

GF wants to calculate, from today to 19/07/2014, how many Kg of each feed type must be projected to be issued?

The software will thus calculate:

  1. Number of days for the calculation period: from today 09/06/2014 to 19/07/2014 is 40 days
  2. Amount of each feed type for Huy Hoang Farm

Amount of each feed type to issue to the farm from today 09/06/2014 to 19/07/2014 for 30 pigs:

= Amount of each feed type for 20 pigs aged 01-30 days + Amount of each feed type for 10 pigs aged 31-60 days

= {20 pigs * 1.5 Kg/pig/day * 30 days (type-B feed) + 20 pigs * (40 days – 30 days) * 1.2 Kg/pig/day (type-C feed)} + {10 pigs * 1.2 Kg/pig/day * 40 days (type-C feed)}

  • Type-B feed = 900 Kg
  • Type-C feed = 120 Kg

Example:

  • Age group 03: Age 61-90 days, average growth 20 Kg body weight, equivalent to 0.7 Kg/day

GF wants to calculate how many Kg of pig it can purchase by 19/07/2014?

Note:

When breeding stock is issued to a farm, the purchasable date is when the pig is at age >= 70 days

The software will thus calculate:

  • The software determines the date pigs can be purchased:

For the 1-30-day age group of 20 pigs, by 19/07/2014 they will have been raised for 40 days, so they cannot yet be released. (When breeding stock is issued to a farm, the purchasable date is when the pig is at age >= 70 days)

  • So the purchasable amount is the 31-60-day age group, 10 pigs (31 + 40 = 71 days, meets the requirement)
  • The projected weight that can be received is = 10 pigs * 15Kg/pig + 10 pigs * 30 days * 01 Kg/pig/day + 10 pigs * (40 days - 30 days) * 0.7 Kg/pig/day = 150 Kg + 300 Kg + 70 Kg = 520 Kg

Determining the testing date: the testing date is calculated X days before the planned purchase date

Example:

  • Planned purchase date: 01/07/2014
  • Actual testing date: 25/06/2014
  • Testing notice is sent 10 days before the planned purchase date
  • So the testing notice date is: 21/06/2014

The software will notify the quantity that needs testing and at which farms.

It also reports blood-test results from the actual testing process at the farm.

The report group related to management requirements includes:

  1. Detailed farm information
  2. Projected materials to allocate to the farm over any time period
  3. Projected finished product GF can receive from farms
  4. Testing-date alert, actual testing-result report
  5. Actual livestock/poultry inventory count at each farm
  6. Report of actual figures for finished-product/material receipts-issues to GF's farm
  7. Other reports: product cost price, etc.
